Gary C. Romfo

Gary Romfo, 70, of Langdon, ND passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home in Langdon.

Gary Clarence Romfo was born February 19, 1946 to Clarence and Mildred (Jore) Romfo in Walhalla, ND. He attended school and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1964. Gary was active in the National Guard for two years. He married Joyce Lee on August 30, 1969 at the United Presbyterian Church in Walhalla. Gary was a life-long carpenter and farmed with his dad on the family farm in Vang, ND.

Gary enjoyed fishing, time with his family, and tinkering on projects at home and for others. His grandchildren gave him great joy, laughter and enriched his life in the most amazing ways. He was blessed beyond measure.

Gary is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Langdon, ND; children: Kristy (Kevin) Panico of Grand Forks, ND, Jason (Jess) Romfo of Olathe, KS, and Jamie (Lisa) Romfo of Clear Lake, MN; grandchildren: Emsley & Alayna Panico, Carter, Cayden & Bella Romfo, and Piper, Hudson, & Presley Romfo; mother: Mildred Romfo of Langdon; siblings: Betty Dalzell, Raymond (Vicki) Romfo, and Eileen (Leslie) Welsh; sisters-in-law: Donna (Glen) McGlynn and Phyllis Tongen, brothers-in-law: Oliver (Debra) Lee Jr. and Bruce (Kim) lee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father Clarence, mother-in-law Bernice Lee, father-in-law Oliver Lee Jr., brother-in-law Delton Dalzell, nephew Jerry Dalzell, and friend Dean Horgan.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at United Presbyterian Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will take place from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at United Presbyterian Church and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery, Langdon, ND.
