Garnet C. Tesmer age 53, of Mountain, ND died on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Mountain. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Walhalla.
Garnet C. Tesmer was born May 3, 1957, at Langdon, ND to Luverne and Catherine (Siguaw) Tesmer. He grew up and attended school at Walhalla. He worked road construction for Mayo Construction and Great Plains Excavating. For the past years he has worked for Heuchert and Gustafson Farms. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, and motorcycles. Being mechanically inclined he enjoyed working on cars and helping the younger generation working on them and giving them advise.
On March 4, 1978, he married Brenda Byron at Mountain.
He is survived by Brenda; children, Amanda (Brian) LaPorte, Walhalla, Rebbeca Tesmer, Mountain, and Jason Tesmer and his fiancée, Selena Thompson, Cavalier, ND; grandsons, Austin and Thomas; father, Luverne Tesmer, Walhalla; brother, Garth Tesmer, Olga, ND and sister, Danielle (Stephen) Andresen, Langdon, ND.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Catherine.
Celebrant: Rev. Fr. Thomas Krupich.
Honorary Pallbearers: Austin and Thomas, Marvin Bjornson, Cory Sonderland, and Charlie Frovarp.
Casket Bearers: Alvin Bjornson, Mike Cuffe, Brian Hanson, Kent Laxdal, Joel Mostad, Todd Peterson, Perry Readel, and Robert Veer.
Music: Amy Carignan, Soloist and Larry Collins, Organist.
