Gail D. Johnson, 65, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, May 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial will be held in the Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, ND.
Gail Dianne Ralston was born February 13, 1948, at Grafton, ND to Gordon and Delores (Throndset) Ralston. She grew up in Crystal, ND, graduating from Crystal High School in 1966, and then attended Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND.
On September 27, 1969, she married Cecil Johnson at Hensel, ND. They lived in the Cavalier area and she was employed by the Citizens State Bank, Borg Memorial Home, and the Pembina County Memorial Hospital.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking, and cross-stitching. Gail was a member of the Cavalier Arts and Crafts Society, Red River Valley Homemakers, and the Mountain American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil; children: Wendy Brusseau, Walhalla, ND, Wayne (Shari) Johnson and Tami Johnson, all of Cavalier; grandchildren: Dalton, Dylan, and Jayde Brusseau; Tanner, Brayden, and Jasmyn Johnson; siblings: Darlene (Garry) Thompson, Cavalier, Hugh Ralston, Crystal, Jean (Richard) Elke, Mark Ralston, and Glen Ralston, all of Cavalier, Bruce (Diane) Ralston, Mountain, ND.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Clergy, Rev. Beth Peterson; Music: Rene Cashin, Soloist and Bettie Lou Stegman, Organist; Casket Bearers: David Duncan, Russell Hannesson, Allyn Johnson, Gordon Johnson, Michael Johnson, and Robert Johnson.
