Francis Radway

Francis E. Radway, 79, of Walhalla, ND passed away Friday, August 28, 2015, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, August 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the church. Interment will be held in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Olga, ND.
Francis was born July 9, 1936, at Mount Carmel, ND to William and Margaret (Reidhammer) Radway. He grew up in the Langdon area and then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the service he returned to the Olga, ND area.
On July 25, 1964, he married Rose McKay at Olga, ND. After their marriage they lived in Langdon, ND and in 1965 moved to Walhalla. He worked for Emil Gendreau and Longtin farms. Things he enjoyed were working at the fireworks stand, spending time with his grandkids, his cat, decorating for the holidays, and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Rose; children: Sonya (Gary) Hajicek, Grafton, ND, Kevin (JoDee) Radway, Langdon, ND, Shawn (Wenonah) Radway, Maquoketa, IA, Derik Radway and Eric (Tina) Radway, all of Walhalla, Brian Radway (fiancé, Connie), Grand Forks, ND, Robyn (Lance) Jerome, Walhalla; 13 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; sisters: Esther Krumweide, Rolla, ND, Florence Roudebush, Fort Wayne, IN.
Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Chad.
