Floyd Howatt

Floyd O. Howatt, 82, of Langdon, ND passed away December 20, 2009 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Floyd was born July 1, 1927 at Maida, ND the son of Orlo and Thelma (Witzel) Howatt. He was reared and educated at Maida, ND. Floyd served in the Korean War from November of 1950 to August of 1952. He returned to the Maida area where he farmed until his retirement. Floyd was a member of the Masonic Lebanon Lodge, had been a member of the Scottish Rite; 49er Shrine Club, Shrine Kem Temple of Grand Forks, a member of the American Legion and the Eagles. He also enjoyed being a bus driver for Langdon Public School. He loved the kids and the kids loved him.

He is survived by brothers, Lyle Howatt and Stewart (Betty) Howatt of Langdon, sisters, Shirley Greene, Marjorie Sturlaugson, Faye Lorenz all of Fargo, Mary (Tony) Sperling of Reno, NV, Gertie (Lorne) Field of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services.
