Floyd Hackenschmidt

     Floyd R. Hackenschmidt, 95, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. A private service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND.

     Floyd R. Hackenscmidt was born August 4, 1925 to Jacob and Emma (Mosolf) Hackenschmidt. He served for two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, Texas, where he was a cook and became a Mess Sergeant. After his discharge from the service he lived and farmed in the Bathgate area. In October of 2007, he moved to Cavalier and in October of 2018 resided at the Pembilier Nursing Center, Walhalla, ND.  He was a member of the Christ Lutheran in Neche, ND.

     He is survived by his sister, Christine (Bill) LaMont, Bismarck, ND and brother, Melvin (Vicki) Webb, Cavalier, ND. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

     Preceding him in death were his parents, step-father, Sam Webb, and brothers: Fred and Jacob (Barbara) Hackenschmidt.
