Florence Heller

Florence A. Heller, 89, Cavalier, ND, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cavalier Baptist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be held in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Florence A. Hanson was born March 16, 1927 at Pembina, ND to Arthur and Clara (Sievers) Hanson. She was the youngest of five children and was also known as "Tot". She grew up and attended school at Hamilton, ND.
On June 8, 1945, she married Milton H. Heller at Hallock, MN. After their marriage, they lived on the family farm northwest of Cavalier. In 1959, they purchased the Dairy Queen in Cavalier and operated it until 1972, when they sold it to their son, Monty. They then started the Sears Catalog Store, which they ran until retiring in 1976. They enjoyed several winters in Florida.
Things Florence enjoyed were cards, puzzles, baking, and entertaining.
She is survived by her son, Monty (Roberta) Heller, Cavalier, ND; grandchildren: Nettie, Steve (Germaine), and Trina; great-grandchildren: Mason and Madison; Torin, Aidan, Rylan, Jameson, Vivienne, Garen, and Gentian; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Milton on September 6, 1993; sister, Evelyn Carl; brothers: Warren, Blaine, and Charles Hanson.
