Florence M. Brinkman

Florence M. Brinkman, age 95 of Walhalla, ND died on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements with Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND.
Florence Margaret Jerome was born March 23, 1911, at Leroy, ND to Martin and Mary Rose (Bruce) Jerome. She was raised in Leroy.
On July 20, 1927, she married John Storey at Cavalier, ND. They moved to Walhalla in 1946. John Storey passed away on March 24, 1976, she then married Stanley Brinkman.
Florence resided in her own apartment until her death. Florence was able to care for herself and loved to cook for her children. She recently had her 95th birthday and was surprised with cake and lunch by some of her family and grandchildren. Her hobbies were reading, playing cards, and watching T.V. She belonged to the Legion of Mary, St. Jude's, and loved her time reading her prayer books and saying the rosary everyday. She also loved talking to her family and friends on the phone.
She is survived by her children, Hilliard Storey, Cavalier, ND; Gordon (Lorraine) Storey, Grand Forks, ND; Ron (Norma) Storey and Alan (Marcie) Storey, all of Walhalla, ND; Tony (Marybeth) Storey, Bismarck, ND; Dale (Maureen) Storey, Detroit Lakes, MN; Patricia (Len) Holo, Eau Clarie, WI; Joyce Lafferty, Grand Forks, ND; Hazel Cluchie and Audrey (Alton) Horsley all of Walhalla, ND; 102 grand and great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
Florence was also preceded in death by her parents, daughters-in-law, Cecilia and Laura Storey; sons-in-law, Allard Lafferty and Stanley Goulet; four grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
