Elizabeth Hendrickson

Elizabeth Hendrickson, 70, of Crystal, Nd passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018, near Crystal. Memorial service will be held Saturday. March 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grafton Assembly of God Church, Grafton, North Dakota.

Elizabeth was born October 4, 1947 in White Shield, ND to Archie and Athelia (White Bear) Hopkins. She grew up and attended school at Mandaree. Elizbeth married Neil Wherley, and the family moved to Williston where she was the head cook at the Elk’s Lodge and Bethel Home. After Neil’s passing, they moved to Fargo, where Elizabeth met Jerry Hendrickson. After marriage, they moved to Bismarck, and both worked as bakers. Elizabeth and Jerry moved to Cavalier where they ran Burke’s Bakery until retirement.

Some of the things Elizabeth enjoyed were pow-wows, bingo, Walker Texas Ranger, country music, dancing, and going camping every summer with her brother and sister.

She is survived by her children: Donna (Cecil) Closser; Cheryl Wherley (Stuart Geiger); Rose Wherley; Karen Hieb; Neil Wherley (Lacey Chalich); 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Dolly Mae Hopkins, Drew Hopkins, Cornelius Hopkins, Izetta Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, siblings: Caroline Hopkins and Dion Hopkins.
