Eleanor Heldt, 92, of Langdon, ND passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND.
Eleanor Klein was born July 22, 1922 in rural Wales, ND to Adolph and Mary (Kuball) Klein. She attended country school near Wales. Eleanor was employed at The Club Cafĩ, National T Grocery, and Skogmas Department Store. On December 26, 1964, she was united in marriage to Alex Heldt in Crookston, MN. They lived and farmed in the Sarles, ND area and wintered in Arizona. After retiring, Eleanor and Alex moved to Devils Lake, ND. Alex passed away in November of 1999, and Eleanor continued living in Devils Lake until July of 2007 when she moved to Langdon.
Eleanor is survived by sister Edith Woodrow; nephews: Charlie Klein of Langdon, Bob Klein of Fargo, ND, Dale Klein of Langdon, James Klein of Grand Forks, ND, Loren Woodrow of Belfield, ND, Dennis Barker of St. Thomas, ND; niece Luella Metzger of Center, ND; and special friend Mary Bisenius of Langdon, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alex, brothers Walter and Arthur, sisters Olga Klein and Verbena Barker, niece Joan Mirehouse, and nephews Lynn Woodrow and Gerald Barker.
Services: Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel in Langdon, ND. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service time.
Interment: St. Johnââ¬â¢s Cemetery ââ¬â rural Langdon, ND
