Eileen Zeis-Branesky, 75, of Wales, ND, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2006 at her daughterââ¬â¢s home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
Eileen Marie Zeis was born November 7, 1930 to Matt and Bertha (Dosmann) Zeis at Wales, ND. She attended school at Wales, graduating in the class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Loren Restad on June 21, 1949. They initially made their home at Wales before moving to Grand Forks where they became the parents of two children. Eileen and her children later returned to Wales where her children were raised and educated. Eileen and Elmer Ryan were united in marriage in 1970. She operated the Grannyââ¬â¢s Bar in Wales, first with her husband Elmer, and later took over sole ownership for a total of 28 years. The opportunity to be around so many community members was well suited to her love of people. She retired and sold the business in 1998. Eileen was active in the Wales community as a business owner, member of the St. Michaelââ¬â¢s Catholic Church and itââ¬â¢s Altar Society and the Wales City Park Board. Eileen was united in marriage to George Branesky on November 2, 2002 and he survives her. Eileen loved her family and was happiest when she was able to spend time with them.
Eileen is survived by husband George of Langdon, ND, her daughter, Judy Campbell of Port St. Joe, Florida, her son, Wayne and wife Denise (DeMars) Restad of Roseau, MN, grandchildren: Michelle (Bruce) Berlin, Matthew (Latrese) Restad, Nathan Restad, David Restad, Sarah Restad, Luke Restad, Donald (Patricia) Campbell, Lance (Tami) Campbell, Roy (Suzette) Campbell and Seth Campbell, great-grandchildren: Joshua, Samuel and Maria Berlin, Lacey, Faith and Emily Restad, Grayson, Riley, Colin, Noah, Alex, Dakota, and Skye Campbell, her brother, James Zeis of Fargo and sister Mary (Franklin) Lothspeich of Pelican Rapids, MN.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Bertha Zeis; former husbands, Loren Restad and Elmer Ryan; brothers, Allen and Benedict; and sisters, Violet Gunderson, Linda Docken and Anna Miller.
VISITATION: 5 to 7pm Friday September 8, 2006
Also for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Saturday.
PRAYER SERVICE: 7:00pm Friday Evening at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
SERVICES: Saturday September 9, 2006 at 10:00am at the St. Michaelââ¬â¢s Catholic Church of Wales, ND.
INTERMENT: St. Michaelââ¬â¢s Catholic Cemetery, Wales, ND.
