Eileen Schill

Eileen Schill, 86, of Langdon and formerly of the Maida/Mt. Carmel area passed away Tuesday November 25, 2008 at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND.

Eileen Anna Hoffarth was born July 7, 1922 at Mt. Carmel, ND to Dominic and Annie (Schuler) Hoffarth at Mt. Carmel, ND. She grew up and was educated at Maida, ND. She was united in marriage to Stanley Schill on October 15, 1940. They made their home in Mt. Carmel Township, Cavalier County where they farmed and raised their family. They retired from farming in 1982 and moved to Grand Forks. They moved to Langdon in 1996 and she became a resident of the Maple Manor Care Center in 2004. They were members of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Eileen loved to garden and was a wonderful cook who always made sure her guests had an abundance of good food to eat. She truly loved and enjoyed her grandkids and was known for thinking of everyone else, but herself.

She is survived by her husband Stanley of the Maple Manor Care Center, her children: Gerald (Ruth) Schill of Fargo, ND; Darlene Girodat of Maida, ND; Lois Benoit of Langdon, ND; Ronald (Lenna) Schill of Maida, ND; daughter-in-law Kathy Schill of Hillsboro, ND; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Joseph (Delores) Hoffarth of Maida, ND; Ronald (Grace) Hoffarth of Grand Forks, ND; Margaret (Joseph) Schill of Langdon, ND; Frances Fischer of Fargo, ND; Dorothy (Alfred) Johnson of Moorhead, MN; Lorraine (Allen) Girodat of Grand Forks, ND; MaryAlice (Matt) Girodat of Langdon, ND, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Allen, sons-in-law Clifford Girodat and Robert Benoit, brothers and sisters Loretta Schill and Gilbert Hoffarth.

A Prayer Service will take place on Friday November 28, 2008 at 7:00pm at the st. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES will take place at 10:00am on Saturday November 29, 2008 at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church of Mt. Carmel, ND.

Interment will take place in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery of Mt. Carmel, ND.
