Eileen M. Burke

Eileen M. Burke age 84 of Cavalier, ND passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2005, surrounded by her family at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Monday, November 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Eileen M. Adams was born July 3, 1921, at Cavalier, ND to Herbert and Althea (Robbie) Adams. She attended school in Cavalier.
On April 19, 1940, she married Donald Jack Burke at Crookston, MN. While Don was in the Navy, Eileen lived in Glendale, CA and Portland, OR. After his discharge they moved back to Cavalier where Don opened Burke's Bakery.
Eileen was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She loved visiting with her family and friends and spending time with her many grandchidren.
She is survived by Don, her husband of 65 years, children, Sandra (Don) Williams, Grover Beach, CA, Debra (Chris) Thompson, Walhalla, ND, Robin Burke (Ken Lawrence), Pembina, ND, Melody (Bret) Letzring, Grand Forks, ND, Colleen (Mark) Sagert, Cavalier, ND, Kelly (Brenda) Burke, Commerce City, CO, and Ron (Anita) Burke, Apple Valley, MN, 25 granchildren and 14 great grandchildren, brothers, Robert (Martha) Adams, Bozeman, MT, Howard (Barbara) Adams, Lake of the Ozarks, MO, sister, Marilyn (Ted) Eng, Chino, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Dorothy (Milton) Ault and Jean Leffew.
