Edwin D. Bill

Edwin D. "Eddie" Bill age 82, Constantine, MI, and formerly of Bistrol, IN, and Hamilton, ND, died on Friday, July 6, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hamilton United Methodist Church, Hamilton, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour prior to the time of the service. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier ,ND.
Edwin was born in Pembina County on April 1, 1925, to William J. and Alice (Metcalf) Bill. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in the 10th Armored Division during World War II. Eddie worked as a tool repairman at Patriot Homes, Elkart, IN, for 20 years. While living in North Dakota he was involved in farming.
On Februrary 1, 1948, he married Cherie Schafer.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping, animals, and horse racing. Other interests of his included playing cards and pool. Eddie also spent many summers visiting relatives and friends in North Dakota. He was a member of the Bristol VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors are his daughters, Cindy Schueneman, York, PA; Roxana (Scott) King, Constantine, MI; son, Kelly Bill, Bristol, IN; grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Schueneman, Kori (Phil) Lockwood, Jolene Denaway, Russell (Sarah) Reiff, Sara Schueneman, Jacob Reiff, and Anna Schueneman; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Schafer, Kileen, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Birdie Watson, Pearl Trottier, Evelyn Crosby, and brothers, Frank, Herb, Dave, Harold, Sam, Hugh, George, Gordon, and Lester.
Military Rites by the Lavern J. Thompson Post #11, Cavalier American Legion.
Clergy: Rev. Matt Anderson.
Casket Bearers: Wes Argue, Stacey Bill, Jeff Cull, Dennes Papenfuss, Ben Trottier, and Cecil Watson.
