Edward "Jigg's" Cluchie

Edward H. "Jiggs" Cluchie, 78, Walhalla, ND passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, ND. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Edward H. "Jiggs" Cluchie was born April 14, 1938 at Vang, ND to Peter and Catherine (Ducioame) Cluchie. He grew up and attended school at Walhalla, ND. After serving in the U.S. Army Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC he returned to Walhalla. Jiggs worked for Schurman Farms in Walhalla and then Figment Farms at Drayton, ND until his retirement. Things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, dogs, boxing, solitaire, and his grandchildren.
In 1956, he married Hazel Storey in Walhalla. Hazel passed away March 7, 2007.
He is survived his sons: Calvin (Nancy) Cluchie, Cavalier, ND, Duane Cluche, Walhalla, ND, Tim (Brenda) Cluchie, Valley City, ND, Jeff (Ella) Cluchie, Grafton, ND, Craig Cluchie and Kelly (Tammy) Cluchie, all of Cavalier; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Cluchie, Grand Forks, ND.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; sisters: Esther, Judy, and Viola; brother, Lyle.
