Edna Timian

March 11, 1925 — May 3, 2007

Edna Timian, 82, of Langdon, ND passed away Thursday May 3, 2007 at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.

Edna Hemminger was born March 11, 1925 at 1-6 in Manitoba, Canada to John and Clara (Gerth) Hemminger. She moved along with her family to the United States in 1937. They made their home on the Gerth Farm near Dresden, ND. Edna and Albert Timian were united in marriage November 12, 1956 at Redeemer Lutheran in Langdon, ND. They moved to Langdon where Edna worked at the First State Bank of Langdon for eight years before spending 25 years working a the county auditor’s office as Deputy Auditor. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She spent time at the Senior Center, especially playing one of her favorite games, bingo. Edna loved to go camping and loved fishing. She was an excellent seamstress and knitted many afghans. Most recently she had knitted pot holders for the Maple Manor Auxiliary. She enjoyed card games and did a lot of canning, including the fish she caught.

Edna is survived by her children: Beverly (Garnett) Kaercher of Langdon, ND; Shirley Hammond of Grafton, ND; and Donald Timian of Grafton, ND, grandchildren; Darla (Bob) Randle of Fargo, ND Darin (Jennifer) Kaercher and their son Triton all of Thompson, ND, Holly Harper and her children Anthony and Kelsey all in Grafton, ND, great-granddaughter Natasha Hammond and her children Roy and Felix all in Fargo, ND, sister Selma (Allan) Steven of Langdon and sister-in-law Marjorie Hemminger of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, granddaughter Lisa Rae Hammond, sister Eleanor Zarn, brother Albert and son-in-law Kenneth.

VISITATION Saturday May 5, 2007 at 6pm with a 7pm prayer service at the Brooks Funeral home of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES Sunday May 6, 2007 at 2:00 O ’Clock the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Langdon, ND.

INTERMENT Immanuel Cemetery, Rural Dresden, ND.
