Edna Berger, 89, of Langdon, ND passed away June 25, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center, Devils Lake, ND.

Edna (Zettel) Berger was born October 23, 1917 at Langdon, ND, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Witherell) Zettel. She was raised and received her public education at Langdon, ND.

Edna married Joseph J. Berger on April 10, 1939 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. After their marriage the couple lived and farmed near Langdon their entire lives where they were members of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where she was active in the Catholic Daughters. For the past few years Edna has attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devils Lake, ND.

Edna will be remembered by her family for all the crocheted quilts made for her family, and the love in which they were made.

Surviving members of her family include her children: Patricia (Charles) Bata, Langdon, ND; Ted Berger, Devils Lake; Janet (Richard) Gemmill, Fordville, ND; David Berger Devils Lake, ND; one sister Bernice Bohn, Queen Creek, AZ; one brother Robert Zettel, Blaine, MN; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, daughters-in-law Elaine Berger of Marysville, WA and Pat Berger of Langdon, North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons; Joseph F. Berger, and Lawrence G. Berger and one infant daughter; Mary Berger.

VISITATION will begin at 5pm with a 7pm Prayer Service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.

SERVICES Thursday June 28, 2007 at 10:00am at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Devils Lake, ND with Father Dale Kinzler officiating

INTERMENT Thursday June 28, 2007 at 2:00pm at the Calvary Cemetery of Langdon, ND.
