Edith E. Schnell

Edith E. Schnell, age 79, of Cavalier, ND died on Sunday, November 26, 2006, at the Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before services on Wednesday. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery. Arrangements with Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Edith E. Schroeder was born July 7, 1927, at Ridgeville, Manitoba to Henry and Charlotte (Broszeit) Schroeder. The family moved to Glasgow, MT in 1928, and to Pembina, ND in 1942, where she attended school.
On November 24, 1947, she married Joseph, Schnell at Emerson, Manitoba. They farmed in the early years of marriage in the Pembina area. In 1988, they moved to Cavalier, ND. Joe passed away on January 29, 1995. She became a resident of the Wedgewood Manor in 1998.
Music, operas, and old movies were favorite hobbies. She was excellent at embroidery and ceramics.
She is survived by a brother, Donald (Shirley) Schroeder, Harwood, ND; nephews, Glen (Jeannie) Schroeder, Cummings, ND; Howard Schroeder in California; and David Schroeder, McVille, ND; nieces, Maxine Schroeder in California; Mary (Kenneth) Quanbeck, McVille, ND; and Karen (Brent) Lougheed, Fargo, ND; and several great nephews and nieces.
Edith was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roscoe Schroeder.
