Larry, Bernie, Elsis and Cindy - I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. We were family friends many years ago and I have many good memories of our families getting together when we lived in Easby. Bernie, I will always remember being the only 2 in our class at the Easby Country School. Seeing the article in the Grand Forks Herald today, brought back many memories. Please take care and the Holmly family sends our sympathies and prayers to all of you. My Mom will be 80 this year and lives in Lake Park, MN. Sincerely, Robby (Holmly) Zick Grand Forks, NDOur thoughts and prayers are with your family. I thought I would share this rememberance with your family. Edi Pederson taught at Waterloo #1 in 1938/39 and was my first grade teacher and my sister, Ellen Sperling Nuelle's, second grade teacher. We remember her very well because she rode a horse to school when the weather was favorable. Otherwise her two brothers would bring her to school.Francis and Renee Sperling
