Earleen D. Mostad, 90, of Walhalla, ND, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. Visitation will be held Friday, February 22nd at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary and vigil service.
Earleen was born April 28, 1928 at home in the Fremont Township to Wilfrid and Lillian (Vondal) Verville and grew up on the family farm. Earleen graduated from Walhalla High School and attended Mayville Teachers College for two years. After college she taught in the Fremont Township for five years.
On November 17, 1954, Earleen married Jerdis Mostad at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. After their marriage, she worked at the Variety Store and worked for various farmers in potatoes. She then worked at the Hotel Bar and Jacksonââ¬â¢s Bar.
Some of the things she enjoyed were gardening, yard work, and reading.
Survivors include her children: Debbie (Clifford) Peterson, Walhalla, ND; Jerry (Annette) Mostad, Walhalla, ND; Jack (Renita) Mostad, Bismarck, ND; and Joel Mostad (Jeannette Lipsch) Walhalla, ND; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerdis; son, James; sister, Eileen Byron; brother, Clarence Verville; brothers-in-law: Louis Byron and Roland Mostad; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Beauchamp.
