Doug Dubourt

Douglas L. Dubourt, 55, of Walhalla, ND, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church, Walhalla, ND. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Walhalla Lutheran Church. Burial in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Leroy, ND.
Douglas Leon Dubourt was born January 22, 1956, at Grand Forks, ND to Leon and Joyce (Rutherford) Dubourt. He grew up in Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1974. After attending U.N.D. he farmed in the Leroy area with Albert and Dorothy LaCoste. Doug enjoyed spending time with his son, Alex, flying, scuba diving, camping, and traveling.
On February 2, 2004, he married Shelly Halldorson at Las Vegas, NV.
Survivors include his wife, Shelly; son, Alex; father, Leon F. (Geraldine) Dubourt and mother, Joyce Dubourt, all of Walhalla; sisters: Dawn (Duane) Schurman, Walhalla, Babette (Brian) Jones, Eugene, OR, Jocelyn (Brad) Sherwood and Renee (Jeff) Barry, all of Grand Forks, ND, Wendy (Jeff) Herman, Bismarck, ND, Jaime (Joe) Deck, Grand Forks, ND; stepsons: Shaun, Bryce, and Tyler Reimer, all of Cavalier, ND; 13 nieces and nephews, and three grand nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Leon A. and Sarah Dubourt and Miff and May Rutherford.
Clergy: Paul Hackenson and John Simons.
Casket Bearers: Steve Berg, David Bjornstad, Denny Dame, Pat Hardy, Rodney Huffman, Bill Lorenz, Paul Soeby, and Paul Sproule.
