     Dorothy Mae Scholler, 75, of Cavalier, ND passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, in Cavalier. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. rosary service at the church. Interment will be at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Leroy, ND. Service will be webcast at www.askewfuneralhome.com following the service.

     Dorothy Mae Letexier was born April 15, 1945 at Grafton, ND to Frank and Lena (Martineau) Letexier. She grew up on the family farm near Leroy, ND and also attended country school there. Dorothy Mae graduated from Aaker’s Business College and worked at the Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks as a nurse’s aide Later she worked at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla, ND.

     On November 17, 1973, she married LaVerne D. Scholler and in 2001, their marriage was blessed in the church.

     She worked on the O.C. Schulz and Sons Farm at Crystal, ND and the Needle Nook in Cavalier. Things Dorothy Mae enjoyed were reading, needle work, cross stitching, and going to the casinos.

     Survivors include her daughters: Sheryl (Dave) McGlynn, East Grand Forks, MN and Sandy (Michael) Sackett, Grafton, ND, grandchildren: Travis Rasmussen, Derek (Becky) Rasmussen, Cory (Mikki), Laura, and Garrett Barclay, and Briana (Thomas) Martens and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Ramona Latraille, Louise Gariepy, Joyce Ann (Joel) Stirbiski, many nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, LaVerne, great-grandchildren, Liam and Evelynn Rasmussen, brothers: Edward, James, Thomas, Gene, and Richard, sisters, Beatrice, Bernice and Marguerite.
