Dorothy Schneider, 95, of Langdon, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Dorothy Borho was born August 3, 1918 to George and Clara (Koehmstedt) Borho. Dorothy attended Minto consolidated school, graduating in 1936. On June 14, 1938, she was united in marriage to Anthony Schneider in Wales, ND. They farmed near Mt. Carmel until 1961. Tony passed away in October of 1961, and in 1962, Dorothy moved to Devils Lake, ND. Dorothy moved to many places including Troy, Missouri and Monticello, MN. She moved to Langdon in 1981 and has resided at Maple Manor Care Center since October of 2013.
Dorothy loved to travel and has been to Rome, Guatemala, Hawaii, and Las Vegas- just to name a few places. She lived with many of her children through the years and visited each of them whenever babies were born. Dorothy loved to bake with her buns and caramel rolls being favorites of her family. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Her faith was very important to her, and she instilled that devotion in her children.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Sally (Dale) Stremick of Langdon, Beverly ââ¬ÅBJââ¬Å¥ Baird of Phoenix, AZ , Janice (Cameron) Herzog of Canton, GA, Daniel of Larimore, ND, Gary of Minot, ND, Patricia (Gary) Hershley of Monticello, MN, Thomas of Minot, ND, Terry (Deb) of Sioux Falls, SD, Robert of Grand Forks, Pamela Rotalo of Phoenix, AZ ; 28 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Karen Metro of Colorado ; and sister: Marjorie Domres of Langdon, ND.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony ââ¬ÅTonyââ¬Å¥, son Joseph, grandchildren Travis Knetter and Tony Schneider, and daughter-in-law Denise Schneider.
Services: Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon, ND.
Visitation: Friday, March 7, 2014 from 5-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 rosary and 7:30 p.m. prayer services at Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.
Interment- Spring at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery ââ¬â Mt. Carmel, ND
