Dorothy Milner

Dorothy "Dot - Shortie" Milner age 85, of Cavalier, ND died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Wedgewood Manor, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009, at 10:30a.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home. Burial in the Andvari Cemetery.
Dorothy was born September 10, 1924, at Coshocton, Ohio to Alfred and Martha (Necomb) Roahrig. She grew up in Coshocton and in 1942, moved to the Cavalier area. She worked at Casey's Café in Cavalier and the PAR Cafe.
On July 30, 1978, she married Richard D. "Butch" Milner at Walhalla, ND. They lived on a farm in the Cavalier area, where they raised cattle. Dot enjoyed taking care of the cattle and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Cathy (Mike) Mallery, Osage, WY, Rick Milner, Brandon, SD, Sandy (Brian) Feuling, Hudson, WI, and Rita Millen, Gaffney, SC; seven step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren, special nephew, Ben (Jane) Hannesson along with several other nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Butch on September 1, 2008.

Music: Christine Hughes, Organist and Soloist.
Casket Bearers: Terry Busse, John Forbes, Ben Hannesson, Randy Milner, Rick Milner, and Scott Winkler.
