Doris M. Johnson

Doris Johnson, 94, of Langdon, ND, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon.

Doris Mae Engie was born November 16, 1930, in Vang, ND, to John and Alma (Langlois) Engie. She grew up and attended school in Vang and Walhalla, ND. On May 16, 1953, she was united in marriage to Melvin “Clair” Johnson in Minneapolis, MN. They made their home in Langdon. Doris worked at the Tastee Freez and was a CNA and in laundry at Maple Manor Care Center for many years. She also did home health care. She moved to Devils Lake and worked at Heartland Care Center. She then moved to Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon in 2022. Doris enjoyed gardening, quilting and blueberry picking.

Surviving Doris are her son, Robert (Judy) Johnson, of Page, ND; grandchildren: Robbie Johnson, Brittany (John) Rowh, Jared (Elisa) Christensen, Tonya Melland, and Kirstin Mitzel; 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings: Donald, Keith, Clifford, Ethel, and Carolyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin; daughter Sherry Christensen; granddaughter Siera Slama; and siblings Grace and Eddie.

A family service will be held at a later time.
