Donny Kearns

Donald Lee "Donny" Kearns, 57, of West Fargo, ND and formerly of Cavalier, ND. passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 29th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND.
Donny was born June 26, 1954, at Cavalier, ND to John and Margaret (Winkler) Kearns. He grew up in Cavalier and graduated from Cavalier High School in 1972. He worked in the building construction business in Cavalier until 2001, then moving to West Fargo where he worked as a carpenter. Things he enjoyed were spending time with his kids, family, and friends, watching western movies and listening to music.
On August 4, 1979, he married Barb Jeffords at Cavalier. She survives as do his children: Jonathan (Nichole) Kearns, Grand Forks, ND and Brenna Kearns, West Fargo; grandson, Kelby Kearns; siblings: David (Lori) Kearns, Neche, ND, Diane (Wayne ) Peterson, Cavalier, Danny Nordstrom, Hamilton, ND, DeeDee (Rick) Helgoe and Billy (Nita Degenstein) all of Cavalier, Donna, Billy, Moreen, Mary, Colleen, and Paddy Kearns all of California.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Margaret and George Nordstrom and John Kearns.

Casket Bearers: Pat Kearns, Jered Kemnitz, Nathan Kemnitz, Nik Kemnitz, Eddie Nordstrom, Tony Peterson, and Tyler Peterson.
