Donna Henschel

Donna Henschel, 80, of Bathgate, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Neche, ND.
Donna Wolfgram was born January 29, 1932, at Shields, ND to Harry and Myrtle Wolfgram. The family moved to Hamilton in her early childhood, where she graduated from Hamilton High School.
On October 31, 1954, she married Reinhold Henschel at Christ Lutheran Church in Neche. They farmed in the Bathgate area and in 1967, purchased the bar in Bathgate now known as Reiny's Bar. During her time at the bar she made numerous friends and loved visiting with the patrons. Donna also worked at the Pioneer Rest Home and the Bathgate Post Office.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. Trips to the casino's with her siblings was a special time to her. Donna was a member of the Cavalier American Legion Auxiliary and the Christ Lutheran Church, Neche.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Cindy) Henschel, Glasston, ND; grandchildren: Shawn (Margaux) Lindsay, Heather Lindsay, Matthew (Kirsten) Lindsay, Kyle Switzer and Jennifer Switzer; great-grandchildren, Carsen and Meris Lindsay; son-in-law, Dennis Lindsay, Bathgate; siblings: Eva (Lester) Nelson, Hamilton, ND, Virgil Wolfgram, Wahpeton, ND, Shirley (Erick) Lawonn, Hensel, ND, and Darlene Henschel, Bathgate.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Reinhold; daughter, Roni Lindsay; brother, Jerry and sister, Fern.
Clergy: Rev. Beth Peterson.
Casket Bearers: Dave Bolte, Wayne Chale, Don Johnson, John Morrison, Mark Ramsey, and Ted Zaharia.
Music: Bettie Lou Stegman, Organist.
