Donald Werman, 84, of Cavalier, ND passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Unity Medical Center in Grafton, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural St. Thomas, ND. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier. Burial will be held in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Donald was born on January 29, 1931, to William and Helen (Proskurnik) Werman at Backoo, ND. He worked for O.C. Schulz & Sons, Crystal, ND, the Pembina County Highway Department, Cavalier, and Heuchert Willow Creek Ranch, Hensel, ND.
Things he enjoyed were hunting, telling stories, and playing pool at his brother Marvin's. He loved his family and grandchildren very much.
Survivors include his son, Scott (Sarah) Anderson, Hoople, ND; grandchildren: Paige, Seth, Rhaya and Sydnee Anderson all of Hoople; stepson, Vern Anderson (Cecilia Ramirez), East Grand Forks, MN; stepdaughters: Shirley Anderson and Pam Anderson, both of Crystal, ND, Shelley (Howard) Jerome, Langdon, ND, Fay (Pat) Bedard, Hallock, MN; brother, Carl (Helen) Werman, Crystal, MN; sister, Linda (Bill) Carpentier, Brooklyn Center, MN; sisters-in-law, Virginia Werman and Nancy Keller and many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceeding him in death were his parents, brothers: Raymond, Edward, Robert, Marvin, and his long time love Margaret Anderson.
