Donald H. McMillan age 87 of Hamilton, ND died on Sunday, July, 15, 2007, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hamilton United Methodist Church, Hamilton, ND. Visitation on Friday, July 20th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. masonic service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Hamilton Cemetery.
Donald Hugh McMillan was born May 31, 1920. The youngest of five children born to Hugh and Rose (Middal) McMillan on the family farm west of Hamilton, where he resided until the time of his death. Don graduated from Hamilton High School in 1938. Don worked in California at an industrial plant and in October of 1941, he was inducted into the U.S. Army. He served in World War II in the European Threatre for four years. He was honorably discharged in February of 1946. He worked in the area and farmed with his dad.
Don served on the township board for many years and was a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge.
On November 27, 1979, he married Sharon Paxman, at Las Vegas, NV.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sister, Dorothy Dietrich, Cavalier, ND; stepson, Jerry (Jennifer) Graffis and their children; Tarah, Mikah, Jenah, Adison, and Aaron; nieces and nephews; Eugene McMillan, Patty Muth, Donald Dietrich, Karen Lee, Judy Dietrich, Steve Munson and Jerry Munson.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Wedwick and Beth Munson; and brother, Harry McMillan.

Military Rites by the Lavern J. Thompson Post #11, Cavalier American Legion.
Casket Bearers: Wes Argue, Jim Mahar, Pat Mahar, Scott Mahar, Dennes Papenfuss, and Dan Schwartz.
