Donald Lafrenz, 75, of Langdon, ND, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Maple Manor Care Center of Langdon, ND.
Don was born January 13, 1938, at Clyde, ND, to Carl and Mabel (Mosolf) Lafrenz. He lived in Clyde, Sarles and Olga. Don worked for Bob Wells before entering the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He and Lila Ullyott were united in marriage on November 8, 1959. Don bought an elevator in 1968 and operated Lafrenz Seed until his retirement in 2007. Don was a very hard worker and the Seed Co. was his life.
Don is survived by his children: Shelly (Daryl) Metzger of Hazen, ND; Julie (Richard) Diebert of Langdon, ND; Jeff (Kristi) Lafrenz of Bismarck, ND, grandchildren: Elliot, Andy and Kolby Metzger; Mindy Balsdon, Maggie Wenzel, Carlie Wenzel, Joshua Deibert and Jessica Deibert; Hunter Lafrenz; Amber (Jason) Soli, Adam Lafrenz, Austin Lafrenz and their mother Pam Lafrenz Fischer, three great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Wenzel, Kiera and Karter Lien, brothers Joey and Bobby Lafrenz.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Lila, his son Greg, siblings: Richard, Irene, Mel, Kenny and Ed.
Private family services were held.

Emmanuel Evangelical Church will be celebrating the life of Don LaFrenz at the church on Tuesday, June 25th at 7pm. This will be an informal time of sharing the memories and influences that Donald had on our lives, our community, and our church. Bars and coffee will be served.
