Donald Agar

Donald Agar, 68, of Gully, MN, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 as a result of a pick-up/semi accident near Fosston, MN.

Donald was born May 7, 1942 at Langdon, ND, to Leslie and Dorothy (Clark) Agar. He grew up and attended school in Loam Township. He went on to Langdon High School where he graduated in the class of 1960. Donald entered the United States Army and served overseas. He worked as an ironworker in Seattle and also for a short time in Denver, CO. Donald and Carleen Thronsedt Heck were united in marriage on February 11, 1988 at Las Vegas, NV. Four years ago they moved to Gully, MN, where they have made their home.

Donald was very personable and was multi-talented. He enjoyed working in the shop and enjoyed country living. He thoroughly enjoyed people. He was a man with many friends.

Donald is survived by his mother Dorothy Johnson of Erskine, MN, his sister Sally Summers of Devils Lake, ND, Carleen’s children: Robbyn (Ray) Hovland of Fosston, MN, Todd (Tammy) Heck and Jon (Shar) Heck all of Valley City, ND, Barb (Terry) Harpole of Dawson, ND, and Daniel (Sara) Heck of Brookings, SD, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, with one on the way. Donald is also survived by nieces and nephews including three that were very special to him: Robert Agar, Brian Agar, and Dr. Roberta Agar-Jacobson. He was preceded in death by a son David Agar, his father Leslie, and brother Robert. His wife, Carleen, passed away as a result of the same accident.

A memorial fund has been set up at Well Fargo Banks for the Humane Society and St. Jude's Children Hospitals in memory of Mom and Pops.

VISITATION for both Donald and Carleen will take place on Friday, December 3, 2010 starting at 5pm with a 7pm prayer service at the Brooks Funeral Home of Langdon, ND.

A JOINT FUNERAL SERVICE for Donald and Carleen will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dovre Lutheran Church of Osnabrock, ND.

INTERMENT Highland Cemetery, Rural Fairdale, ND
