Dolores L. Hoffarth

Dolores Hoffarth, 92, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND.

Dolores Lucy Girodat was born January 14, 1926, to Frank and Loretta (Bernard) Girodat. She grew up and attended country school in the Mt. Carmel, Dresden and Wales areas. On May 8, 1957, she was united in marriage to Joseph Hoffarth in Wales. They lived on a farm near Maida where they raised their five children, farmed, and had cattle, pigs, and chickens. Dolores enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, embroidery, doing puzzles, playing cards, and just sitting in the sun. She loved to socialize with her family and friends. Dolores was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, ND.

Dolores is survived by her children: Arlene Hoffarth of Oakdale, MN, Kathy (Greg) Krause of Grand Forks, ND, Joleen (Steve) Kinzler of Kulm, ND, Donald (Ronda) Hoffarth of Langdon, ND; grandchildren: Kris Hoffarth, Joe (Jessica) Hoffarth, Jason (Mimi) Hoffarth, Lindsey (Travis) Schoenborn, Devin Hoffarth, Casey Hoffarth, Michael (Diya) Krause, Jonathan Krause, Tabby Kinzler, and Owen Kinzler; great-grandchildren: Micah Hoffarth, Dominic Hoffarth, Aiden Hoffarth, Mia Hoffarth, Tristan Hoffarth and Lucien Schoenborn; sisters Fern (Walter) Simonson and Grace Hoffarth; sisters-in-law Mary Alice Girodat and Darlene Girodat; special niece and nephew Betty Nelson and Frank Hoffarth along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph; son Darrell; brothers: Matt, Clifford, and Allen (Lorraine); and brother-in-law Ronald.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, ND. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:40 p.m. Rosary and 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND, and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial – Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, ND.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:40 p.m. Rosary and 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND. Burial - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, ND.
