Dolores Gebur

Dolores Gebur, 88, of Langdon and formerly of Calvin, ND passed away Saturday April 8, 2006.

Dolores Theresa Gebur was born August 3, 1917 to John and Martha (Baron) Gebur on a farm near Bonttineau, ND as the baby in a large and loving family. This was when her faith in the Lord began, this saw her through many good and bad times.

She married Mike Gebur in the fall of 1935. They lived briefly in Grand Forks, ND, later moving to Rock Lake, ND. They moved to Calvin where they built a farm of sticks and stones, but the love inside made it home.

They had three daughters; Rae, Galene and Fae.

Mike passed away in 1975, and she continued to live on their farm until 1997. She moved to Langdon, and lived with her daughter Rae. She was never happier than to be on her mower keeping the yard looking perfect or playing a good game of cards with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, ten brothers and sisters: James, Lawrence, Frank, John, Joseph, Bernard (Barney), Adolph (Ole), Antoinette (Tony) Boehmke, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Mosolf, and Gertrude (Gertie) Wruck, and many good friends.

She is survived by daughters Rae Workman of Langdon, ND, Galene (Bill) Palafox of Le Mesa, CA and Fae (John) Rintala of Bottineau, ND, five grandchildren; Mike (Penny) Parcel of Great Falls, MT, Walter Raymond (Tami) Workman of Cloverdale IN, Heidi (Kelly) Bacon of Edgeley, ND, Kari Workman of Zion, ILL, and Gretchen (Jason) Kihle of Greeley, CO, Nine great-grandchildren; Kelle, Alex, Michael, Xandria Bacan, Erica and Hunter Parcel of Rugby, ND, Cassandra Cunningham of Great Falls, MT, Sara and Gabriella Workman of Kampsville, ILL, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 4pm Wednesday April 12, at the Brooks Funeral home with a 7pm Prayer Service.

Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of the services at the church on Thursday.
