Dolly Helland

Eleanore "Dolly" Helland, 93, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Cavalier, ND passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011, at Bethany on University in Fargo. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 3:30 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Burial in the Bruce Cemetery, Neche, ND.
Eleanore Ruth McConnell was born July 27, 1918, in the Bruce Community to William and Eva (Hughes) McConnell. She graduated from Cavalier High School in 1936, and lived her entire life in Cavalier.
On June 19, 1938, she married Andreas "Andy" Helland at Cavalier. She and Andy loved going to dances in the area. Andy passed away on November 2, 1996.
Survivors include her sons: William (Joyce) Helland, Minot, ND and Kenton Helland (special friend Marjorie Klockmann) Fargo; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: Omar, Howard, Frank, and Carter; and sister, Cora.
