Dolly Bjornstad

Dolly Bjornstad, 83, of Grafton, ND and formerly of Leroy, ND passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the Lutheran Sunset Home, Grafton, ND. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Askew Funeral Home, Walhalla, ND. with a graveside service to follow at the Hillside Cemetery, Walhalla.
Thora "Dolly" Wendt was born September 23, 1929, at Walhalla, ND to Frank and Thilda (Jorgenson) Wendt. She grew up and attended school at Walhalla.
On April 28, 1953, she married Clarence Bjornstad at Walhalla. After their marriage they lived in Leroy. Clarence passed away on April 11, 1993, and for the past 10 years she has resided at the Lutheran Sunset Home.
Things she enjoyed were antiquing, bird watching, gardening, and tending her flowers. Dolly was a kind and loving mother and she will be missed greatly. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her quick wit. Her faith in God gives her family comfort knowing that she is in Heaven with Him now.
Survivors include her children: Randy (Jeanette) Bjornstad, Park River, ND, Wanda (Jim) Bjerke, Grand Forks, ND, Brenda (Lowell) Anderson, Grafton, ND, Rocky Bjornstad, Walhalla; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three nephews; one niece.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Florian Wendt; sister, Ramona Howell.
