Dennis D. Otto age 69, of Crystal, ND died on Monday, October 1, 2007, at the Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Federated Church in Park River, ND. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Crystal Memorial Cemetery.
Dennis D. Otto was born July 19, 1938, at Grafton, ND to Cecil and Sadie (Bergerson) Otto. He grew up in the Crystal area and graduated from Crystal High School. Dennis farmed with his dad on the family farm. He worked for Kuball's Heating and Air in Cavalier, owned and operated Otto's Refrigeration, and later worked at the Cavalier Air Force Station.
He was a loving grandfather and a kind and gentle person. Dennis enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and playing on his computer.
On August 2, 1959, he married Ruby M. Latozke at Crystal, ND.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Annette (Dennis) Berglund, Twin Valley, MN; Mark (Jerrene) Otto, Everett, WA; grandchildren, Devin, Tony, and Cassidy Berglund, Nick Otto, Zak Weeks, and Brooke Otto; sisters, Sharon (Lyle) Edwards, Montpelier, ND and JuNell (Fred) Caravetta, Warroad, MN.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Beverly in infancy, and brother, Gerald Otto.
Clergy: Pastor Byron Cox.
Music: Jared Fredenburg, Soloist and Beth Kemp, Pianist.
Casket Bearers: Cassidy Berglund, Devin Berglund, Tony Berglund, Nathan Keller, Brooke Otto, Nick Otto, Kalie Shephard, Thomas Shephard, and Zak Weeks.
