Dennis William Geisen, 66 of Fredericksburg, Texas and Langdon, North Dakota passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at his home in Fredericksburg.

Dennis William Geisen, the son of William and Mary Ann (Jakoubek) Geisen was born April 2, 1943 in Langdon, North Dakota. He attended elementary school in Dresden and graduated from St. Alphonsus High School in 1961. Following his high school, Dennis attended St. John’s University and completed his education at the Brown Institute. He entered the United States Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged 1965. Dennis spent thirty plus years in Boston, MA where he was a news editor for the local TV Station, WBZ. Dennis retired about 4 ½ years ago and enjoyed traveling the United States with his pick-up and fifth-wheel camper. He wintered in Fredericksburg, Texas and over the years has spent increasingly more time out of the year there. Dennis enjoyed memberships in the American Legion Post #98 of Langdon, the Elks of Brookline, MA where he served as the Exalted Ruler, and the Eagles Aerie #3454 of Langdon.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Geisen of Langdon, ND; siblings, Kathleen Malott of Castle Rock, CO, Larry and his wife, Linda Geisen of Langdon, ND, and Barbara and her husband, Ken McDaniel of Santa Maria, CA; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Jerry and Rodney; and a sister, Dianne.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, North Dakota. Father William McDermott, Celebrant.

Visitation: beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery in Langdon with Military Honors Provided by Post #98 of Langdon.
