Dennis M. Dalzell

Dennis Morgan Dalzell, age 77 of Leroy, ND, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Homestead Hospice House in Owatonna, MN. A graveside service will be held at the Walhalla Hillside Cemetery on Saturday, October 9th at 1:30 pm. A gathering will be held following the service at the Dalzell family farm.

Dennis Morgan Dalzell was born March 17, 1944, in Grafton, ND to Luverne & Alyce (McNeil) Dalzell. He attended the country school west of Leroy and the Walhalla High School. In 1962, Dennis enlisted in the Army National Guard in Cavalier, ND. He completed his initial service on May 1, 1968. He re-enlisted on February 17th, 1982, with the Guernsey, WY Army National Guard and retired on March 31, 2004, after c28 plus years of service. While in the Army National Guard, he received several medals as well as accommodations.
Dennis loved spending time outdoors, taking care of his yard, woodworking, tinkering around in his garage, riding in his side-by-side, his dog, family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his children: Lisa & (Andrew) Smith, MN; Corey, (Kellie) Dalzell, WY.
Grandchildren & step grandchildren (5): Aleksander, Whitney, Tony, Zachary, Tyler, Anarah; Great grandchildren: Nora Grace & Emery Ann.
Siblings: David (Sonja) Dalzell, Palmer, AK; Dianne (Wayne) LaRocque, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; Dale Dalzell, Walhalla, ND.
Aunt: Janice (Dalzell) Martinson, Hoople, ND and many nieces and nephews.
Proceeding him in death were his parents, brothers Dewey, Danny & Dewayne Dalzell, and his infant son Timothy Warren Dalzell.
