Dennis R. "Dice" Crotty, 92, of Pembina, ND passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at the Kittson County Memorial Health Care Center, Hallock,MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church, Pembina,ND. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial will be held in the Pembina Cemetery.
Dennis R. ââ¬ÅDiceââ¬Å¥ Crotty was born January 13, 1922, in Neche Township of Pembina County to Robert and Louise (Lemier) Crotty. He grew up in the Pembina area and graduated from Pembina High School. From 1942 to 1944 he served in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the service he worked for the U.S. Border Patrol and then the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service until his retirement. On May 9, 1945, he married Hazel E. Lokken at Pembina. After his retirement they spent winters in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Hazel passed away September 22, 1998. Things he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, golfing, and family vacations.
Survivors include his children: Denny (Bea) Crotty, Pembina, ND, Cody Jensen, Henderson, NV, Dean (Wendy) Crotty, Bemidji, MN, Curt (Diane) Crotty, Appleton, WI; grandchildren: Wade Crotty, Brett (Johannah) Crotty; Devon Jensen; Chelsey (Ryan) Paulson, Andy Crotty, Patrick Crotty; Chris (Betsy) Crotty, Holly (David) Parks; 11 great grandchildren; step-grandchildren: Neal Jenen and Nevin Jensen; and special friend, Gloria Ohmann
Also preceding him in death were his parents; son-in-law, Paul Jensen; one sister and five brothers.
Celebrants: Rev. Fr. Joseph Okogba and Rev. Fr. Bill DeCrans; Casket Bearers: Andy Crotty, Brett Crotty, Chris Crotty, Patrick Crotty, Wade Crotty, Devon Paulson; Music: Gwen Emerson, Organist, Assumption Church Choir, Holly Parks, Soloist, and Diane Crotty, Accompanist.
