Deloris Quam

Deloris Quam, 95, of Fargo, ND and formerly of Cavalier, ND passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour before the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the St. Brigid's Altar Society, P.O. Box 280, Cavalier, ND 58220 or the Cavalier American Legion Auxiliary, P.O. Box 844, Cavalier, ND 58220.
Deloris was born October 28, 1920 at Pembina, ND to Edward and Eva (Corbett) Meagher. In 1938, she graduated from Bathgate High School. On May 8, 1942, Deloris married Ernest Quam at Neche, ND. She lived all her married life in Cavalier until September of 2009, when she moved into assisted living at Edgewood Vista in Fargo. While in Cavalier, Deloris worked at The Variety Store, Anthony's for 20 years and The He-Mart for 25 years.
She was a member of St. Brigid of Ireland Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, Cavalier Legion Auxiliary where she served as Historian for many years, and the Cavalier Country Club. Things she enjoyed were reading, bingo, playing cards, baking, cooking, and getting together with her daughters.
Survivors include her daughters: Connie (Dean) Lykken, West Fargo, ND, Karen (John) Vivian, Mesa, AZ, Diane (Dale) Sander, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Brad (Jenni) Lykken, Murfreesboro, TN, Steve (Dawn) Lykken, Wilmar, MN, Molly (Brian) Howell, Bismarck, ND, Michael Sander, Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren: Alec, Kennedi, and Chloe Lykken.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ernie on December 9, 1979; and nine brothers and sisters.
