Dean Burt

Dean Burt age 55 of WestFargo and formerly of Cavalier, ND died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at Manor Care Nursing Home, Fargo, ND. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation on Friday, January 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jensen-Askew Funeral Home, Cavalier, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Burial in the Cavalier Cemetery.
Dean was born June 2, 1951, in Langdon, ND to Gerald and Fern (Nelson) Burt. He spent his first three years living in Walhalla, ND. In 1954, his family moved to Cavalier. Dean was baptized and confirmed at the United Lutheran Church. He graduated from Cavalier High School and attended Mayville State College for one year. After serving two years in the U.S. Army, he attended Dakota Business College in Fargo for two years. Throughout his years he lived in Fargo, Valley City, Rugby, and Williston, before moving back to West Fargo. Dean was employed by Swanson Health Products and six years in manufacturing and quality control.
He is survived by his son, Trevis, Portland, OR; stepdaughters, Shantelle, Cooperstown, ND and Jennifer, Minot, ND; parents, Gerald and Fern , Cavalier, ND; brother, Bruce, Fargo, ND; sisters, Diane (Terry) Yokom and Connie (Steve) Akers, all of Barnesville, MN; nieces and nephews, Katie, Bryce, McKensie, Alyssa, and Maci.
Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Lyla Burt and Herman and Cora Nelson.

Casket Bearers: Keith Burt, Lynn Nelson, Mark Nelson, Paul Nelson, Mayo Reck, and Milton Reck.
Military Rites by the Lavern J. Thompson Post #11, Cavalier American Legion.
