Dean Buchweitz, 46, of Langdon, ND, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Towner County Medical Center of Cando, ND

Dean was born August 22, 1964 to Carl and Janice (Hall) Buchweitz at Langdon, ND. He grew up in the Munich area and attended school there. Dean graduated from Munich High School in the class of 1982. Dean was a lifelong farmer, starting when he was just a kid. He also did some trucking. Dean was united in marriage to Lisa Borho on March 23, 2002, and they made their home in Langdon. Dean was a member of the Eagles, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and adored his dogs Cocoa and Maggie.

Dean is survived by his wife Lisa of Langdon; his children: Morgan Buchweitz of Grand Forks, ND and Mitchell Buchweitz of Grand Forks, ND; his mother Janice Buchweitz of Munich, ND; siblings: Steven (Sherry) Buchweitz of Alsen, ND, Kristine (Dave) Lundeby of Osnabrock, ND, Katherine (Rich) Sinks of Michigan, Brian (Amanda) Buchweitz of Munich; step-children: Kris (Jennifer) Loewen and Kelly Loewen all of Rochester; and step-grandchildren: Morgan and Marnee of Rochester; along with Dean’s nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, a great uncle, and cousins. Dean is also survived by Morgan and Mitchell's mother, Gina (Matt) Busse of Grand Forks, ND.

He was preceded in death by his father Carl, an infant brother Brent, aunts and uncles, grandparents Levi and Barbara Hall and Herman and Lucille Buchweitz.

VISITATION Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 4 to 7pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Langdon.

SERVICES will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1:00pm at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church

INTERMENT Calvary Cemetery Langdon, ND
