David MacDowall

David MacDowall, 77, of Langdon, ND passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Moorhead, MN.

David was born January 6, 1938 in Langdon, ND to William and Ethel (Magnus) MacDowall. He grew up and was schooled in the Harvey Centre area near Langdon. He entered the U.S. Army and then returned to the Langdon area. David worked construction and also farmed. In his younger days, David enjoyed playing many instruments. He would sing while working and taking care of the horses. He loved to spend time with his family and visit with friends.

David is survived by daughter Dawn (Sean) Fraser of Cavalier, ND; sisters: Betty Dahley of Fargo, ND and Gloria (Gerald) Long of Moorhead, MN; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special friend Barb Dearinger of Leroy, ND and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Donald, James, Neil, Earl, Vivian, Margaret and Ila.

Services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m.
