Darryn J. LaPorte

Darryn J. LaPorte, 44, of Walhalla, ND, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the church. Burial will be held in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
Darryn was born May 20, 1968, at Cavalier, ND to Leslie and Arlene (Dumas) LaPorte and grew up in Walhalla After graduating from Walhalla High School in 1986, he attended the East Grand Forks Technical College. In 1991, he married Diana Wirtz. He worked for Symington Construction, Walhalla Farmers Elevator, Sweet Pro, and also had his own painting business.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, reading, hunting, fishing, and listening to music.
Survivors include his children: Brynt , Haley , Peyton , Layne , Carley LaPorte, all of West Fargo, ND; mother, Arlene LaPorte, Walhalla; brother, Curtis (Brenda) LaPorte, Walhalla.
Preceding him in death was his father, Leslie LaPorte.
