Darrell Godfrey

Darrell C. Godfrey, 71, of Mission, TX and formerly of Hannah, ND died October 24, 2011 at the Mission Nursing Home in Mission, TX.

Darrell was born on April 21, 1940 in Langdon, the son of Charles and June Godfrey. He graduated from Hannah High School. He married Carol Borgen in 1958. They lived in Hannah, Minneapolis, MN and Langdon. In 1966, he, Carol and the family moved to Seattle, WA where he worked for North Western Glass Company for 32 years. Following his retirement in 1999, they moved to Gold Bar Nature Trails in Gold Bar, WA. Winters were spent in Bentsen Palm RV Park in Mission, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol; children, Rodney (Julie) Godfrey, Agnes (Eddie) Kleinweber, Sandra Godfrey (Jeff Cox), Vincent Godfrey (Cindy Wells); grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Marisa, Kelsey, Bailey, Hayden and Lucas; great-grandchildren, Chaelyn, Angel, and Max; and brothers, Ron (Meredith) Godfrey and Dave Godfrey. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darrell Lynn and an infant son.

A graveside service will be held for Darrell on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon, ND. Burial of his son, Darrell Lynn, will also be held.
