Craig Klein

Craig C. Klein, 73, of Fargo, ND, passed away sweetly Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018, at Elim Nursing Home in Fargo.

Craig was born November 1, 1944, in Devils Lake, ND, to Clarence and Ruth (Graff) Klein. He grew up in the Alsen/Munich area with his four younger siblings. On November 2, 1963, he married Carol Roppel in Nekoma, ND, one day after he turned 19. Craig farmed with his family close to Nekoma, ND, for most of his adult life where he and Carol raised their three children. He enjoyed taking the family camping, boating, waterskiing, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed watching high school basketball games, music, and traveling to warmer climates. Even though his heart was always out at the farm, Craig and Carol moved south to Fargo in 2004. Craig worked for the Johnson Fargo Culvert Company until he retired in 2009 at the age of 65. During his retirement, he and Carol spent their winters in Florida enjoying the sunshine and time with friends and family.

Surviving Craig are his wife, Carol, of Fargo, ND; children: Tammy (John) Wolf of Maple Grove, MN, Lanetta (Chad) Franzoi of Farmington, MN, and Dale Klein of Fargo; grandchildren: Matthew & Emma Wolf, Zachary & Samantha Franzoi, and Alex (Lisa), Kayla & Cole Klein; siblings: Doug (Jean) Klein of Munich, ND, Pam (Doug) Bartel of Hillsboro, KS, Lynn (Joan) Klein of Bismarck, ND and David Klein of Munich; brothers-in-law Jerry (Darlene) Roppel of Bismarck and Don (Dawn) Roppel of Fairdale, ND, along with many loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded by parents Clarence and Ruth (Graff) Klein, Melvin Klein, and niece Tawnya Roppel.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Emmanuel Evangelical Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service time at the church on Saturday.

Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
