Corrine Hoff

Corrine Hoff, age 89 of Walhalla, ND, died Sunday, April 13 at the Pembilier Nursing Center in Walhalla.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Walhalla. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the church. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to service time on Wednesday.

Corrine was born June 19, 1918, in the Leyden, ND area to Joe and Eva (Carignan) Clifford. She grew up in the Leroy area where she attended school.
On November 11, 1937, she married Loran Hoff at Leroy, ND. They farmed near Concrete, ND for many years. She was a fabulous cook, immaculate housekeeper, and always available to help friends and family on a moments notice.
In 1975, they retired and moved to the "Condo" in Walhalla. They enjoyed traveling to Europe, many trips to California and taking their camper to Renwick Dam. They also enjoyed two special little people in their lives, April and Tyler Schurman, becoming "grandma and grandpa" to them.
Another phase of life began when she became Loran's caregiver, a role she lovingly carried out for nine years. Loran died October 22, 1992.
She was a very special lady, full of care, compassion, and love. She was a treasure in our lives and will be forever cherished.
Survivors include, children, Lorna (Mike) Troy, Reno, NV and Miles Hoff, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Jason Jerome, Tasha Troy, Becky (David) Sherwood and great grandchildren; sister, Lucy Fitzsimonds, Walhalla, ND; brother-in-law, Howard Hoff, Walhalla, ND; sister-in-law, Mildred Fraser, Walhalla, ND; special aunts, Eleanor Martineau, Alice Tisdale, and Marie Clifford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Loran; parents; brother, Louis Clifford; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and other family members.
