Corey Wayne Slama

Corey Slama, 40, of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Langdon, ND passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Grand Forks.

Corey Wayne was born January 12, 1977 in Langdon to Wayne and Gayle (Watt) Slama. He attended St. Alphonsus School in Langdon and graduated from Langdon High School in 1995. After graduation, Corey worked various jobs including: Gracie’s Restaurant in Langdon, Viking Pork near Edmore, Schwan Wholesale in Devils Lake, Grand Forks Truss, and was currently cooking at Grandma Butterwicks in Grand Forks. Corey loved hunting, fishing, camping, and boating with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and pro basketball.

Corey is survived by his parents, Wayne & Gayle, of Langdon; brothers Jeremy (Heidi) Slama of Mekinock, ND and Shawn (Dawn) Slama of Cando, ND; grandfather Ronald Watt of Park River, ND; nieces: Emily, Skyler, & Trysta; and nephews Blake & Terrick. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Stan & Chelda Slama and Elda Watt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon. Visitation will take place starting at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday with a 1:30 p.m. Rosary. Burial will be at St. Clotilde’s Cemetery in Milton, ND.
