Clarence A. Campbell, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla with a visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services.
Clarence was born March 22,1923, at Walhalla to Peter and Rosanna (Morin) Campbell. He grew up and attended school at Walhalla. Following high school, he attended St. John's University at Collegeville, MN, then attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND. Clarence worked as a depot agent for Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads.
On May 2, 1950, he married Phyllis Ireland at Walhalla. She passed away on May 2, 1997.
He enjoyed golfing, coin collecting, and traveling. After his retirement he took great delight in helping people around town with various duties.
Survivors include his daughters: Alyson (Ted) White, Grand Forks, ND and Robyn Campbell, Hertford, NC; grandchildren: Reesa (Tiram) Gamliel and Trevor (Julia) White; great grandchildren: Ahva and Lilah Gamliel and a great grandson due in August; and his sister, Leona Belinsky, Oakes, ND, and many nieces and nephews.
Also preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Howard Campbell.
