Clare (Pat) Schuler, 82, of Langdon, ND, passed away on August 8, 2020, at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, ND.
Clare (Pat) Schuler was born December 25, 1937, in Wales, ND, to William and Gertrude (Kordosieur) Schuler. He grew up in the Wales and Mount Carmel area and attended St. Alphonsus Catholic School. He then went to work with his father at the family business. Pat owned and operated S & S Floor Covering. Later in life, he became well known for his woodworking skills. He made shelves, quilt stands, benches and much more. He was involved with the Knights of Columbus and Eagles Aerie #3454.
Pat married Yvonne Hell on June 10, 1958, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Grand Forks and Langdon, ND. They raised their family at Langdon, ND.
Pat is survived by his spouse, Yvonne, of Langdon; his children: Lawrence (Cheryl) Schuler of Hunter, ND, William (Ann) Schuler of Hickson, ND, Gregory (Lori) Schuler of West Fargo, ND, Patricia (Anthony) Roth of Amenia, ND, Pamela (Dwight) Lowry of Bucyrus, KS, Tamara (Todd) Bucholz of Cavalier, ND; his grandchildren: Tina (Peter) Miesen, Lisa (Ryan) McCullough, Jonathan (Amy) Schuler, James DeGroot, Michaela Schuler (her friend Cameron Wedde), Lillian Roth, Olivea Roth, Evelyn Roth, Jayne Bucholz and Joseph Bucholz; and his great-grandchildren: Jordan Miesen, Reese McCullough and Lance McCullough. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Theresa (Gene) Marcotte, Gerry (Magnus) Thorsteinson, Delores (Orlin) Weiner, David (Becky) Schuler, Marian (Francis) Hoffarth, Gael (Randy) Balsdon, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and his brothers: Bernie, Bernard and Gary Schuler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND, with interment following at Calvary Cemetery in Langdon. Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place for one hour before the time of services at the church on Saturday. Social distancing and wearing of masks are encouraged.
